interesting observations about her collections. I do like the collection though, very accessible!

The Cynthia Rowley show on Friday began with a huge drop cloth falling from the sky and onto the runway. As the cloth settled and the music began, girls came down the runway looking like they were off to lunch. The collection was light and fun, filled with flirty dresses, great prints and cutesy separates- something we can expect from Rowley. Although the clothes were nothing to gasp at, there was an interesting theme of raw, unfinished-ness throughout the entire collection- Rowley, herself noted this unraveling. There were several slashed ribbon dresses with bits of the lining peeking through and distressed sequin shorts as well as ink bleeding down from the neckline of dresses, unfinished hems and pants slashed at the knee.
