Today was hundred mile yard sale day! We drove up and stopped at a couple of the sales on the mountain. I got a lot of stares, which is odd because looking at the photos of this outfit it looks totally normal to me. One guy asked me if I was “goth” (um?), and an older woman came up to me and said, “Can I ask a question without offending you?” Sure, ok. “Did you rip your stocking on purpose?” Um, yes. Then she proceeded to tell me how she would throw them away. Hmm…
We got records (Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Queen, and a few others…), a rad rocking chair for $15, a chairman Mao propaganda piece, and various and sundry others. There will be pictures of all my finds as well as cool stuff at the sales on my blog. Afterwards we got Chinese food. I love Hot & Sour soup so very much.
I leave tomorrow morning for my week long old school Florida vacation! Hopefully I’ll be able to post while I’m there.
