This is what I wore yesterday for an evening out with friends.
The necklace is one of my latest DIY: a Chanel inspired pendant+chain.
While I was sketching the logo I realized how geometrically perfect it is: a well-proportioned intersection of circles and parallel/perpendicular lines.
Not that I didn’t know the logo before: since I was a child I’ve always loved it but I never understood what was so fascinating about it. Was it the brand behind the famous double C? Or was it the synthesis of simplicity and pure perfection? I think the second one is the correct answer.
I once read a quote about a design’s creation being the thing everyone wishes to have invented but didn’t. Well, from this prospective I really wish I created this amazing logo! Probably one of the best ever.
I paired the necklace with some masculine pieces: high waisted black pants from Zara, a tailored shirt from Pokomoto (a local brand) and a shoulder-pads jersey blazer from Zara. The suede wedges, the vintage clutch and the black&silver rings add the feminine touch to the look. I kept the colour palette simple since I wanted the necklace to stand out.
