Thriftasism. The recycled use of clothing in a creative or utilitarian way.
The top is a sage green, destructed mens collared shirt inspired by the dreamy post punk romanticizers. The ingenius sleeves were transformed into a belt, tailored to fit. Reconstructed with twisted bows, irregular topstitching, and raw edges. The look is layered with a laced polka dot yellow tank I got at a clothing swap in San Francisco.
Skirt is a cheap find. Lucky print with an oversized grey check. It’s detailed with oversized side pockets and pleats to suit. It was actually floor length which I recently shortened above the knee. Whole new skirt!
This trusty cap is a 1940’s orange suede bonnet. I’m on a quest to bring back the bonnet!
Brown leather heels are thrift I picked up in Austin, TX. Quite comfy indeed. Trucked all over NYC in these bad boys.
