again, I’m apologizing for updating so discontinuously lately. The excuse this time is that since I got back home I’ve always been at my desk working on my BA thesis. I hardly go out and therefore I have never the chance to dress up and take pictures, unfortunately.
However, today I wasn’t in reading/writing mood and I decided to take a break and do some pics to share with you my new addiction: boyfriend jeans !
Haha, I know you are probably shocked I am saying this since I haven’t been wearing jeans for ages. That’s true, because I prefer wearing more feminine pieces like dresses and skirts. But since the boyfriend jeans-trend started here in Chictopia I sometime thought I could have given them a chance remembering the rule I once wrote: “never say never”. That’s why a couple of days ago during my last trip to H&M I tried on a pair and …surprise! I loved them! I kept on grinning in front of the fitting room’s mirror like a child and bought them instantly.
I also found a great soft XXL sweater perfect for fall – more about it the next days.
Back to the jeans: when I got home I thought about some possible matching and I have to admit they are really versatile and I already founded thousands of things I can wear them with. I’m so happy!
One of my favourite is the combination with vintage cotton knitwear I recently got from my mum.
She cleaned up her closet and collected lots of old clothes and accessories she doesn’t wear anymore; before giving them away to the charity, she told me to take a look and keep anything I liked. I found some great t-shirts from the 80’s, a couple of bags, some denim stuff and sweaters. Most of them need some alterations to perfect the fit, update them or simply strength my creativity with DIY hehe
I got three of those knitwear, in different colours: acid yellow, orange and dark yellow. They have similar fits but each with a different embroidery. Here you can see two of them.
In this outfit I paired them with flat gladiators and a vintage Louis Vuitton messenger bag bought some months ago at a flea market.
