Okay so maybe it’s a little obvious what one should wear on a summer date but hey it was an excuse for me to prance around in a dress. I don’t know what it is but aside from over-sized shirts worn as dresses, “dress” dresses never really make it into my wardrobe rotation. So even though most of you guys probably where dresses all the time because, hello, it’s summer; I generally only bust them out for special occasions. And what could be more special than a date?! Well, lots of things I’m sure; but just go with it.
Despite what my boyfriend tells me I know he secretly likes it when I dress more girly so I usually make an effort to look slightly more feminine on date nights. It’s not brain surgery, just throw on a cute dress and shoes and you’re off! Call me crazy but for some reason I can never JUST wear a dress and heels. So to keep the outfit feminine but still “me” I decided to try out the socks and sandals trend. Those who know me will attest to my love for all socks and hosiery. Because I still wanted to keep the outfit as feminine as possible I ditched the ripped tights I usually wear and opted for a cute accessory instead. So there you go. Summer date night? Cute dress, socks, sandals, accessory, DONE!
p.s. I think this look would have benefited from a pair of brown sandals but I don’t own a pair. In fact I don’t own a pair of black ones either. I had to borrow these from Helen. Thanks Helen!
p.p.s. Please try to ignore how ridiculously pale I am.
