Hello again, hope your weekend was wonderful! Thanks heaps for the comments and support for my previous outfit/post!!
On Friday I went to the National Gallery of Victoria (the Ian Potter Centre at Federation Square) to see the John Brack exhibition that was on, because it was closing this weekend. Brack is an Australian artist whose art in the 1950s and 60s reflected the human condition and depicted life at the time.. I really love his work. It was really interesting to see the development in his work over through his lifetime, from figural representations of people in crowds to strange still lifes of knives and forks to portraits of people with persian rugs to symbolic paintings of war and human relationships using hundreds of pens and pencils. One of his most well known and iconic images is “Collins St, 5.pm” from 1955, which shows the monotony of office workers leaving work at rush hour, you can see an image of it here.
I went to the exhibition with one of my dear lovely friends, who after many months, has finally created a chictopia account… you should definitely keep a lookout for Stepanka!
I think she has a really lovely style and she’s super great at layering :) She took these pics of me and I took some of her too so hopefully she’ll put them up soon, they’ll have the same background as these pics :) Please comment on them/befriend her if you see them!! I found it very amusing that on this day we both wore outfits that consisted of red, black and white!
Another of my awesome friends has also joined chictopia recently, but i’ll give you an intro to her in my next post :)
This photo was taken next to the atrium/‘edge’ at Federation Square next to the gallery. I’m wearing another one of my mum’s old blouses! The white socks don’t look too good with this outfit, I was wearing them cos my shoes are too big :P
