Unlike some bloggers and chictopia users I don’t outfit-post anything close to everyday so those online may have a perception of my style which isn’t completely accurate.
More and more people are picking up and commenting on how much black and grey I wear, whereas in ‘the real world’ the thing people seem to notice most is that I almost exclusively wear heels. It’s often only brought to the attension of others on the rare days when I’m in flats and they are amazed that I’m not really six feet tall. I’m a firm believer that most outfits – at least in my wardrobe – are infinitely improved by the addition of a chunky 4"+ heel.
Thus, despite being of above average height I inevitably get the ‘oh, you’re not actually that tall’ comments whenever I bust out the flats. Which makes it even less likely that said flats will ever get busted out again.
There are however some occassions where it’s completely impossible to wear anything but flat shoes so, inspired by Annabel’s post about what she wears when she can’t be bothered creating an outfit, this is my own recent take on comfortable dressing.
