Weight is actually not a problem. All the weight rests behind the top of my ear. The weight bares hardly any weight =) I've worn it all day with no problems.

just the earring and the backpiece. you put it on like a normal earring and hook it around the back. very easy to wear.

You should get one. It's not too expensive, around $30. It does add a lot of edge to a simple outfit, a great piece for days when I don't want to get dressed at all!
