If I were to be asked which designer I look up to the most, I’d say it would be Christophe Decarnin, Creative Director and designer for trendy fashion house BALMAIN.
I always thought that acid wash jeans were a fashion don’t but that changed radically when it appeared in Balmain’s runway and suddenly, everyone adapted to the acid wash trend. It’s a very 1980’s look (yes the eighties is soooo back) and while I can’t afford a shoulder padded military band jacket/ blazer from Balmain, I improvised and paired it with a studded vest instead given that it was quite a sunny day when I wore this outfit.
I wore it to my monthly heart doctor checkup and the bad news is that my dose for calcium-channel blockers to regulate my heart rate has been doubled! I was also instructed to stay away from: loud rock music, scary/ horror movies, traveling and getting stressed out. Sigh.
My doctor asked me what form of exercise program I have (I can’t exercise since it triggers an allergic reaction for my case) and I told him it was- WALKING IN THE MALL IN HIGH HEELS. He didn’t really believe me but I pointed out carrying 3-5 shopping bags (about 7 lbs total in one arm) and a 10-lb. bag in the other is aerobically effective. Hahaha.
And yes, I am in pants again…which happens rarely since I was born in a skirt. Haha. What do u think?
