this week has been pretty hectic for my man since he went full time with his current part time job. since friday was his only day off (he works again this weekend), we decided to spend the whole day together catching up on the arts and cultural activities in the city.
first, we went to the fringe and watched Lysistrata. It’s based on Greek mythology, where Lysistrata is a female character that proposes to go for sex strike (towards the men) to end the war. the play was humorous, sexy, witty and of course filthy! hahaha! they also found a way to incorporate recent events that concern women rights and war in the society. the actresses were great. it was my man’s first time to watch a play and im glad he loved Lysistrata.
afterwards, we headed to the assiniboine park to watch the “Ballet at the Park” show. today was the last day and i knew that he really wanted to see that, so off we went. this time, it was my first time to see that annual show here in winnipeg. i really enjoyed watching the ballerinas! i loved the musical score they used and for students, the performers were pretty good! :D
pardon my squinty eyes!!! i haven’t had the right kind of sleep for the past few weeks….
all in all, today was great!
tomorrow, im off to the beach!
im praying for awesome weather!!!!!
