My mom said a tornado passed by our area earlier today. I missed it because I was in the bathroom. All I heard was something like knocking. How great. Not the first time I was stuck in the bathroom during a natural disaster (although it wasn’t that bad). A few years ago, we had an earthquake while I was in the shower. :P Weather’s been so awful this week. Ever since I arrived actually. So much rain!
There’s a thread in the forums about knee-high Converse, and apparently many people aren’t crazy about it. I don’t really see the hate. I think they’re adorable! But to each their own~
I wonder though if in the same way people like something because other people like it, people also dislike something because other people do too. Don’t get me wrong, I think Uggs and Crocs are hideous and worn the wrong way many, many times. But I wouldn’t put someone down “just because” they wear Uggs or Crocs. If their style can pull it off, then why not? Really, the only reason Uggs and Crocs end up looking ugly is because people wear them wrong all the time. In the right hands, I’m sure they’ll look good if not at the very least decent. :P
Bottom line: How do you discern someone as “fashionably enlightened” rather than simply jumping the bandwagon?
