As previously mentioned( on more than one occassion) spontaneous roadtrips to unique, far away or even just pretty locations are one of my greatest loves. Losing responsibility and or routine for a night or two never fails to excite me. Escaping your world and everything your familiar with produces a real sense of freedom that can’t be topped. Generally i don’t mind where i travel of with whom just as long as I’m on the go. This time my boyfriend happily accompanied me on a short but sweet trip up the coast. The sun shone beautifully all weekend and in true beachside spirit we lazed around all day,listened to chill out tunes and made ourselves sick eating greasy fish and chips. My bf picked up two pairs of vintage sunnies for me from a retro store in which i can’t wait to wear and post. Coastal playlist of choice consisted of- Rise Against, Placebo, Incubus, Xavier Rudd, City and Colour and Empire of the Sun.
Other weekend festivities included my nieces first birthday party overflowing with candy, party food and of course pink cupcakes. The gorgeous weather inspired light, flowy ensembles in pretty pastel hues. For unknown reasons i fancy dresses and tan accessories much much more when the sun is beaming down. I’m now craving spring more than ever, can’t wait to wear feminine frocks with subtle prints and team them with vintage accessories.
