Hello Chictopians! I feel inclined to introduce myself. I was born in Brooklyn, NY, Raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and currently residing temporarily for my undergrad career in Fresno, California. Fresno is in the valley of California, and as such, the environment suits its “valley girl and bro” stereotypes. To say the least, it’s been a dreadful couple of years having to endure the high school years full of Abercrombie Boys with popped up collars, and tanorexic fake blonds relying on daddy’s green to buy themselves hideous Dooney & Burke purses. Highschool is so cruel. College has been much different, and I don’t know if it’s better or worse. It’s rare to see any “individual” with a glimmer of originality at campus. Most people show up (if at all) looking like they’ve just had a 24 hr. bongfest (which they probably did), and not to mention they seem to expunge a smell of self-loathing and one night stands.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel to far off distant lands (however, I am not done with my world explorations/conquer), so my style is a conglomerate of all the cultures, epochs, music, fads, trends, hobbies, people, obsessions, distractions, food, drugs, alcohol, books, places and everyday inspirations I’ve soaked up over these short 21 years I’ve had on this planet.
Wore today: running errands, meeting up an old friend for coffee.
headband- black & gold chain off an old decrepit purse i found in my mom’s closet
scarf- bought for $5 off some Manhattan street vendor some 6 years ago while preforming with the jazz band for IAJE. I’ll purchase a real burberry scarf when I’m a rich attorney. But for now…I’m a poor college student so I’ll make do with knock offs. Yes… I just outed myself.
