So I have a confession, back in my teen years I used to be a bit of an emo kid. In my defense, I’m old enough that my teen years preceded the myspace emo craze, therefore when I was emo, it was definitely not cool and popular. I’ve always been into fashion, even back in those days, and I was able to maintain a balance between feminine funky jewelry and band tees, and in my home economics days I was able to take an XL band tee and turn it into a cute mini skirt or a tube dress. My staples were always my converse and my studded belt, I rarely left the house without wearing either. Now, converse are still my go-to sneaker, but my studded belt wearing days pretty much left when I stopped carrying my messenger bag covered in band pins back in my first semester of college. I’m really glad though that studs can still be incorporated into my wardrobe, whether it be the updated faux Carrie Bradshaw studded belt, or in this outfit’s case – a studded collar and studded sandals.
