SUNDAY:
I was feeling very fifties today and was all for getting HIGH and WAISTED thus the HIGHWAIST skirt. The skirt is by Glitterati and it is designed especially to cinch you up and get you on to the HIGH and WAISTED side, and it was a very satisfactory solution to my 1950s Pleasantville craving for the day. Whoever said poodle skirts were out, was never in! The perfection that is the 1950s is just sublime! A direct effect of listening to Katy Perry songs!
If you want it, come and get it at GLITTERATI… and it comes out in other colors too- purple, red and yellow- so take your pick! Hahaha I apologize for the shameless plugging but it’s my blog! Teehee
WARNING: Wearing highwaist skirts ensure instant flattery in the torso area but also induces starvation. The skirt I wore was an XS (I’m delusional and masochistic that way) and the cinch was just below my rib cage! I was quite afraid to gain a millimeter on my waist that I basically was so dreading drinking water since I might pop the hook and zipper of the skirt and I’d be left skirtless in a very full mall.
Instead of eating, I decided to go on my cardio program also known as walking all 4 floors of the Rockwell Mall in 4 inch heels and a 7-lb. bag. I loved that the mall was on sale and got to score fabulous new pieces from designer CIARA TETANGCO (i bought like all colors of her zipper tanktops and left none for anyone else) and from Zara where I ended up buying 5 shirts in the same style but different colors. I also scored a half-off tulle sequined dress which just screams glitter, it can blind.
I found the top which I got from fabulous local designers, Kato and Audrey of the brand MOONSHINE that I had not yet worn in the huge trunk also known as my storage for unworn clothes. When i saw it, i thought that it would be perfection when paired with the skirt we made, and it soooo was! I’m not sure how well it can be seen in the photo but it is sheer and has a lovely and oh so pretty ruffled detail in the neckline and can be pretty much worn with absolutely everything and I so love it. Dainty and daring at the same time!
So that basically wraps it up. I miss dressing up and being girly. I think my girly-girl dressing up stage is coming back! Haha it’s the hair I tell you! xx
