I like the transition from top to bottom: Blonde moving toward red shoes, red fingernails, the fabric of your blouse has layers to complement movement downward. Black skirt narrows your waist and keeps the eye above given the eye's draw to lighter colors, like your skin, blouse and hair. The reds add a bit of color and complements the turquoise-silver medallion.

Furthermore, you appear to be a shorter woman and so breaking the body into two pieces requires as you have illustrated to keep the lighter colors above and to shorten the upper portion by moving the line far above the waist. Your legs look much longer and we can study them as there is lightness of color in the stockings.
