Speedbump 's Thoughts:

I know my expression here is kind of ridiculous, but to be honest, it was the only photo taken today in which my face looks not blah. I sometimes wonder how I actually appear to others since the photos of my face are so often unflattering…

I bought this pink 50s shirtdress ages ago (probably a month ago) and this is the first time I’ve worn it just because the weather has been so chilly. But today it was warm enough to wear this, and I jumped at the chance! I love it to death, especially since it’s just been hanging on my closet door (a place of honor) and mocking me for living in NorCal. This dress is the epitome of spring/summer to me.

It has the prettiest ribbon trim and little pintucks on the bodice, and a skirt which I’m thinking about shortening to knee-length, but am still wavering. I miss longer hemlines, actually. I’d forgotten how nice they were, and though mid-calf really isn’t the most flattering of lengths on me (or anyone, I think), I like it and with heels, it definitely works.

The second picture is one of those silly candids that my boyfriend likes to take, but I kind of like it. My hair looks so ruffly! Anyhow, that’s basically how I “do” my hair for pictures… I just flip upside down and scrunch a bit for volume. Works wonders.

Those who have been following me for a while will remember that the shoes here are super uncomfortable. Well, I got some insoles last week, and though they’re still not comfy enough to stand in for hours on end, they are at least tolerable to wear for a few hours, if excessive walking/standing is not involved. Conclusion: insoles are wonderful things.

Oh, and finally a decent picture of my black mesh bag, which I love so dearly.

my god, the bag is to die for. i'm practically drooling--it's SUPER chic and fab! the dress is adorable, with the sweet little detailing up, but i do endorse cutting the dress a little to knee length simply becuase (and i mean this in the best way possible!) i think some longer dresses have the potential to look grandma-y if too long. whatever you do/don't, it will still be absolutely beautiful!

Hm, you might be right, and the people answering my poll seem to agree that knee length is best... (I think above the knee length would be almost disrespectful to this dress and its history). Still debating, though.

Gosh, this is funny. I'm actually NOT Korean (Chinese through and through) but everyone thinks I am, I swear. Even Koreans. Actually, white people usually think I'm Japanese, haha.
