i’m a little slow. i didn’t even start looking at the 2010 resort collections until two days ago. but in all honesty, it’s not like i’ve always followed the collections so closely. they only interest me about half of the time. and then, i’m usually only really obsessed with a handful of designers at any given time. though that obsession is probably bordering on unhealthy… haha!
which leads me to this next outfit. after seeing phillip lim’s collection, i just happened to find this vintage lace shell at an estate sale (for $3) on sunday. and then lo and behold, i found this black and gold lace skirt at the thrift store (for $6) this afternoon. not to mention this pair of beautiful vintage taupe bow heels that had never been worn, which i found at an estate sale on friday, after waking up entirely too early and driving entirely too far to get there. i actually regret it, but i am glad to have found these shoes. there was a room of shoes, in fact. and an entire room of vintage clothes. i’ll never forget it, because i was far too broke to afford any of it, so i didn’t really buy very much.
oh i could go on and on talking about my hunting! it’s a little ridiculous. but i just love vintage! i really do.
and speaking of vintage, i have a bounty of dresses to show you. but right now they’re soaking in baking soda to get the weird old smells out. and then i’ll need to press them and hem them and figure out how to style them. but it’s good. it gives me something to do over the next few weeks.
phew. that was a lot of writing. if you read the whole thing, you deserve a cookie. haha!
