sorry i haven’t been updating my chictopia. ive been stuck at home, trying to look for a job online. it sucks, coz im so broke now and ive been itching to work. however, some jobs are either just too far, requires full time hours or experience and just not in my line (ex. construction, kitchen help, etc). aaaahhh!!!!!
im so broke right now that i really can’t afford to go out and spend on anything. buhuhuhu.. today, though, was really nice. it got warm already and sunny. it’s also the first time that the city is having warmer and sunnier weather on a weekend. it’s always been cloudy and windy for the past few weeks. it’s about time we had summer here.
i missed on a lot of stuff today, just because im broke.
1. Independence Day Ball. There’s this dinner / banquet at a nearby hotel here commemorating the Independence Day of the Philippines, my home country. Some of my friends are going to represent my student group in the university. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to go.. :(
2. Basketball with my friends. Normally, friday afternoons are for shooting hoops with some of my guy friends, the boy included. But today, i decided not to go because it’s quite a long drive to go there and I didn’t want to spend more on gas. ho hum..
3. Red River Ex. This is like an annual carnival thing here in the city and today’s their first day. It goes on until June 21. Although, my friends and i are already scheduled to go there on the last day, I wanted to drop by today too. There’s fireworks tonight and I would love to see that. Plus, I have been craving for corndogs for a long time already. and seriously, the best ones are sold there!!!
as for today, the boy and i ended up going to the park, because it’s near and we didn’t have to spend a thing. we played frisbee til forever! yay! :) it was such a cheap yet fun fun date with him. that’s the thing i love most about him. i can always drag him to the classiest restaurant, but when it came to cheap thrills, he’s so into it too! :D
i really hope i can get a job already, just so i can have some money for my summer escapades. teehee!
