(had to remove the apostrophes from that title so it would fit. poor grammar aggravates me to no end.)
Sooo anyways I got my hair cut on Thursday…it’s a lot healthier now (no split ends!) and a bit shorter and easier to deal with. The hairdresser braided my hair for me so it would dry into waves, but I wore the braids during the day and took them out at night. I think I’m going to start wearing braids more often – they have a cute, youthful (as opposed to an old-lady bun) sort of charm, and it’ll be interesting to see how they look with contrasting dark, modern, or boyish clothing. Oh and also, Wednesday Addams always wore braids, and she was pretty badass.
(Fun fact – when I was little, my dad used to braid my hair so tightly that my braids would stick out from either side of my head and people would ask if I had wires in my hair. Maybe I’ll dig up some pictures…)
I know the combo of a floral dress and blazer is kinda overplayed and predictable, but there’s a reason why. It works. Even the hostess at Bertucci’s complimented my outfit. :P
Here’s a picture (at the end) of my hair down – it was nice and smooth and wavy in a sort of 40’s, Veronica Lake kinda way, for about 30 minutes, then got really frizzy and curly. It’s a work in progress…
