cocoandvera 's Thoughts:

"Florals for spring - groundbreaking." I always laugh when I hear that line from The Devil Wears Prada and, admittedly, sparkles for holiday are not exactly a fashion revolution but the fact is, they are so much fun. When we were in Whistler a few weekends ago, Lyndi and I captured the holiday party looks we'll be wearing this season on the snowy beach at Rainbow Lake. The fact is, none of the parties that I've attended this year (or any of the ones that are still to come), will take place in such a bright and breathtaking place. Most holiday parties happen in dimly lit restaurants or apartments, which is why a little glitter in your holiday party is so essential. There's nothing more disappointing than choosing a perfect party outfit, only to find out that it makes you blend into the scenery. And besides, who doesn't love an opportunity to sparkle? Tis the season, as I seem to keep saying, and if you only wear sequins once a year, December is the time to do it. (I always find that a sparkly dress is a great way to motivate myself to go out to winter events, too; it's been pouring rain here in Vancouver and finding motivation to go out when its so wet is no easy feat.) What are you wearing to holiday parties this year?
