LevitateStyle 's Thoughts:

As a menswear blogger, often times it's very easy for me to overpack for a trip of any duration. So for my recent work conference trip, I decided to challenge myself to pack smart and use essential pieces to create three different looks. I was inspired by the GQ 48 Hour Wardrobe from a few years ago that mixed and matched for business and after-hours looks. The trip had a packed itinerary with meetings and dinner so this guide is great for how to dress just right for the occasion. I had a fantastic stay at the Renaissance Westchester hotel featuring nice interior designs that are stylish and modern which made me feel right at home coming from NYC.

For the 48 Hour Wardrobe - I created three looks using the color combinations of navy and brown. This was ALL that I packed for this short business trip. Here's a quick breakdown of the essential men's style items:

Navy Pinstripe Suit - Classic suit that goes well with everything. I went for the pinstripe for more subtle details. The jacket can be paired up with khaki pants and jeans.

Double Monk Strap - Dressy and easy to pair with both suit and jeans. Perfect shoes to dress up and down in this occasion especially when I didn't want to bring more than one pair of shoes

Leather strap watch - Can't go wrong with a clean minimal sharp watch that matches the shoes and puts the whole look together
