I lalalalalove wearing these suspenders! I spotted some similar on the Urban Outfitters website and something in my brain slowly thought them over… That night when I went to bed they popped back into my head and I knew I had to try this look! Then Cocorosa did it with pure style and cemented the idea :)
Next I want to try them in white!
The dress has a story like most of my clothes! It’s a 1940’s negligee that I bought from ebay about 8 years ago. I paid but then the seller refunded my money and sent it anyway, saying it had a hole in it and she didn’t want to charge me. When I received it I realised it the silk was so ancient that it practically dissolved under my fingertips and tore really easily.
Now I keep it in a special bag and wear it only very rarely, on nights when I’ll be doing very little sitting and lots of standing at a bar! I suppose I should really be keeping it in a glass case somewhere and talking in hushed tones around it, but it’s just too damn beautiful to hide, and it’s made it this far…
