My sister got me this black Zara dress this weekend. I have a dilemma about it…
Of course i love it the way it is, and its a gorgeous dress.. But my inner urge for altering everything i see is telling me to make it shorter, a couple inches above the knee.
My mother keeps telling me that doing that would make my legs look awkward and stubby, but i don’t know. help??

I’m also probably going to wear it to go watch “La Traviata” at the SF Opera in June. Hence the title :)

hmm well it depends on how tall you are. I think taller girls with long legs look better in short items, while us short girls look good on pencil skirts this length. but is hard to tell how tall you are, but frankly as good dress like this, which is classy and simple, you should probably leave as is!
