happy mothers’ day!
we celebrated a day earlier for my mom’s mom. i told my mom “what better way to celebrate mothers’ day than wear your mom’s clothes?” yep! i’m wearing my mom’s tailored dress,around 10 years ago.she never wore it coz she hated the sleeves and i washed it last minute in time for today.
i wanted to wear yellow so that my post will stand out from the pool of black gray white outfits dominating chictopia. plus, i got inspiration from the necklace i bought online from maisiecristobal.multiply.com
i love the necklace so much! i matched it w/ my mom’s vintage ring! the belt’s my mom’s too. she had it when she was a teen and i love that it has a sailboat charm hanging from the buckle.
i was so near to overdoing this outfit by wearing blue shoes and a bag that matches the belt but my mom stopped me. thank god.for today, i made bracelets out of semi-precious stones for my mom and grandmas.
i don’t post as much now. i’m currently taking up short courses at FIP (fashion institute of the philippines) and so far i’m loving it! pattern making’s not my thing though. it’s quite similar to orthographic views i used to do for interior design classes.i hate measuring stuff!!! and my english speaking skills are put to a test coz my teachers and my classmates tend to talk in straight english while i tend to go taglish. practice practice!

It's a good thing you went with your Mom's suggestion about not wearing the blue shoes, because this outfit looks awesome as it is. And yay for Taglish! My situation is reversed though. lol When I go to Pinas, I'll probably speak Taglish because my Tagalog isn't so up to par. heh

I love, love, love, love, love this. The yellow is so sunny and vibrant on you (to die for!), the blues are a perfect pop, and the neutral shoes and bag round it out perfectly. Love. This.

ohh u look really gorgeous!! mum's are great, aren't they? i am always borrowing my mum's outfits... currently i have her leopard scarf that i have no intention of returning to her hahahahaha.. i love it!

thanks haylilly!! i borrow my mom's stuff a lot too but she notices when i don't return them! i love her stuff when she was still single. unfortunately, her belts are mostly for waistlines 23-24, which i obviously can't fit into. haha. happy mom's day to you. =)
