oh wow! that DIY is amazing... from far away I def thought it was lacy/cutout and totally confused about how you DIYed it. But regardless, the pattern is really cool, I love how you concentrated the splatters to one side. way better than the original! haha grad school and life. both hard. I totally think that gives you a pass from updating!

haha, thanks! yeah, it's definitely just bleach! it would be quite the racy shirt if all that were actually cut-outs. i mixed 1 part bleach and 1 part water and splattered it on the shirt. then, after it faded to a color i liked, i rinsed it with peroxide to neutralize the bleach and keep it from eating holes in the fabric. it was easy!

hiiii.
sorry for the extended absence. my only excuses are: grad school is hard and life is complicated.

in more interesting news, i DIY-ed this shirt! and i love it! i wanted a shirt from bona drag that was similarly done, but could never work up the cash or the desire to drop $80 big ones on it. so i made my own. i’ll post a picture of the original inspiration at the bottom for comparison’s sake.

maybe i’ll be a little better about taking photos regularly (since it’s end-of-the-quarter time and i’d rather do that than write papers?)…
