Day three of rain here in NYC. I swear, it’s definitely testing me and the promise I made that I would not wear my boots anymore! In this weather it’s so hard to not just slip them on and be safe from the puddles and umbrella’s rubbing up against you on the train in to work.
I got this jacket at a Mayle sample sale. It has a really nice ivory lace/eyelet detail in the front but the picture just doesn’t do it justice. I had to wait in line for about an hour just to get in the doors but it was so worth it. I wanted to buy pretty much everything I tried on, but unfortunatly we’re in a recession people! ( thats what I tell myself when I want to splurge on things…which happens all the time)
The skirt is thrifted. It was originally a high waisted pencil skirt but I chopped it off to turn it into a mini. I top it all off with a little cheapo headband from F21, I really can’t believe how cheap their accessories are.
I feel very Gossip Girl-ish even though i’ve never even seen an episode!!! I guess that’s what advertising/magazines do to ya.
Anyways, because of the crappy weather I had to touch up these pictures. Hope you don’t mind.
