Its funny how you can go to a thrift store fully expecting to walk away empty handed or find something totally random…but then sometimes you have a lucky streak and find lots one type of item in your size. A few months ago I walked away from my favorite thrift store with three tweed high-waisted skirts. I felt like the skirt fairy was watching over me:) I suppose that only this one could really be called a pencil skirt, but I love them all! (hence buying them all).
On the same thrift store trip, I also found the London Fog trench coat that I’m sporting in one of the photos. It was a little too warm to wear it when I went downstairs, but I did this morning when I left the house. When I was a preteen, my grandparents cleaned out their attic and offered me a 70’s London Fog trenchcoat, which I turned down…how I wish I could go back in time and choose more wisely! Oh well, I finally found a replacement.
I don’t know if you can tell from the pictures, but the skirt has many colors woven in with the black and gray…making it fun to pair with various shoes and tops.
