This is an example of one of those vintage items that need a little TLC. I bought this at a flea market last Summer and I think wore it once without any alterations over the winter. I decided that I’d wear it more if it was shorter so I hemmed it up about 5 inches. It was also long sleeve so I chopped those off too and kept the cute little ruffle .
Of course, I added my own belt, which I almost always do.

Now for the Carrie Bradshaw reference…is the flower too much? I bought it a few weeks ago at a trim store across the street from where I work. They have millions of beads, buttons, feathers, flowers, sequins..etc…anything you can imagine. I love the fresh coral color and it matches the little flowers in the print of the dress. But really, is it over the top?? Should I find something else to do wtih it? I was originally thinking headpiece but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Let me know your thoughts.
