ok, i lied. in my last post, i said i would change it up and try something different, and then i didn’t even do a post the following day (yesterday) because it was so damn hot that i changed my clothes like 3 times and i was not chic. the sudden change in weather left me dazed and confused… i ended up wearing a bright blue tank dress that i bought from the gap last year. now, gap can have some really cute pieces and i am not against wearing clothes that are old, but seriously people. i looked daaaaated. bad. i looked so… 2003. i was wearing flat sandals, like one step away from flip flops. it was frumpy. i looked like a mom!
and speaking of moms, i kinda look like one today. but that’s actually a good thing. like my mom in the 80’s. and i really appreciate moms. while i myself am not a mother yet, i’ve got one and she’s pretty cool. i’m pretty sure she reads my chictopia blog. so sorry, mom. you’re not the type of mom i’m referring to. you will always be a really cool mom, the type of mom who wears betsey johnson and who gives me good fashion advice.
but oh, you know what i mean, right? i’m sure we all hope that even as we get older, we’ll continue to be able to wear fashionable outfits and eventually turn into eccentric old ladies with false eyelashes and tea cozies for hats and gaudy costume jewelry. right???
yeah… so the point is, i’m still wearing my sashes, guys. but at least i kinda sorta did something different with it… and speaking of wearing stuff that is dated, right as i said it i realized that this aa denim skirt isn’t exactly the freshest thing out there right now….
oh it’s gonna be one of those days. i think it’s the heat.
