Found this vintage reworked leather jacket at a random store in the city the other day and I snapped it up immediately. It was only $100 AUD too. Score. Love the moto style with the epaulets, and especially love the skinny fit. I’ve been talking up the store ever since, with friends heading there straightaway to buy the same/similar leather jackets…..does that mean I should get some kind of commission? :D
The shoes are DIY studded…..one of my fave pairs.

Or something akin to it. Worn on a double date at an Irish Pub where the highlight was the traditional fare and the Guiness! Afterwards we wanted to walk down the road to get some coffee but it was pissing down with rain, so we kind of danced across and down the street. Good times :)
I love this vintage skirt, worn as a dress. It cost me next to nothing and I love the flouncyness. Oddly enough the sheen makes it more appealing, not less as would be expected.

I know, I know, I’m terrible. My apologies…..real life got in the way of updating my ChicBlog.
I found this gorgeous sheer shift dress with flamenco sleeves at an op-shop a while back. I feel like I could head to salsa/flamenco dancing classes in this. Excellent. Sign me up.

Me and Sportsgirl are thick as thieves. And whilst I do think they are overpriced on any given day, I just patiently (or not so as the case may be) wait until said item goes on sale.
In the case of this pair of leather leggings however, originally $229 aud but which I scored for $50 aud, it was a case of walking in and being amazed at the sale price. I decided to buy them in a bigger size so that they would fit me like a regular pair of trousers.
Worn out to a very fun night….full of laughs, alot of perving, free drinks, heater conversations, nutjob dancing and a whole lot more!

The Snood Hood Add as Favorite Photo

I bought a ‘snood’ a week ago. I picked it up, saw the “how to wear” tag attached to it and headed straight to the counter. Thank you Valley Girl, for fulfilling my MK Olsen snood desires. In case you are wondering, a snood is a scarf-hood hybrid and the one I got is geniusly warm and beyond fashionable. Love.
p.s. How f*cking awesome is the word snood? I proceeded to irritate the bejesus out of my sister onthe subsequent train ride home by inserting ‘snood’ into every sentence I spoke. For example, “This train driver is a snoodlum…what’s with the jerking?” or “what should we have for dinner, salmonsnood…?”. I swear she may have threatened to clobber me me with her huge and funky umbrella. Such is life :)
I realised soon after that not only is the snood a multi-wearable item of clothing (as a thick-knit neck scarf/as a snood/as a pillow/as an electric blanket for your ears) but that I’m turning the world into a snood-hood, one person at a time. The boyfriend, his best friend, who’s next?!!?
p.s. the shoes are my crapola DIY attempt, and if I love em. Too much :)

Feathers here, there and everywhere Add as Favorite Photo

I was in Melbourne for a training course, which involved 5 days of intensive brain storming and alcohol imbibing and a weekend of shopping! Walked into this store, saw this feather stole, fell in love and purchased a few minutes later. Heart palpitations, I tell ya.
I wear this as a feather stole, as a headpiece, even as a goddamn tribal skirt (okay, I kid :)
But I do love it so.
