My oldest brother’s birthday is on Halloween, and because it was Saturday this year, he and his wife had a crazy party at their place. Costumes were mandatory, and I dressed up iin something that I knew would make me feel comfortable—a kick-ass punk rocker!
I put on some wild makeup and put safety pins through my ears (where I already had holes) for an authentic late-seventies feel. :)

It has been so cold lately that I haven’t even wanted to get out of my pajamas, but I forced myself to wear a skirt and heels today. I thought this outfit would have a positive effect on my mood. And it did!
Ah, the power of clothes.
These are sweater tights, and they were quite warm. The skirt is Thakoon for Target. I bought it on sale a little while back for $9 or something. I am really attracted to the print.
Happy Friday!

I wore this outfit yesterday. I did some more marketing and sales-pitching for my small art business.
I really adore this stiped oxford shirt. It has such a menswear feel to it. The boots are shiny and cuffed; the blazer I’m wearing also has an interesting sheen to it that isn’t very visible in this photograph.
This is one of my favorite fall outfits because it seems so versitile. I’m very comfortable in it, but I think it also looks quite polished.
P.S. Does it not look like I’m in the jungle here? I live in Baltimore City. My house is in a residential area, but still—it shouldn’t look like there might be an anaconda in the ivy behind me!

Hi guys! Thanks for all the comments on my last post. I kind of feel silly now, after so many read my Photo Description. :-P
Change 99% to 50%. :)
This is what I wore to work yesterday. It was Friday, and I have a lunchtime appointment to hang some more art pieces in a local restaurant and talk with the customers there.
The shirt is my husband’s; I wrapped it around myself and tied it with a belt—very comfy. For some color, I wore my new orange chandelier earrings (also on sale from target!), and my tealish kelly green bag (oh my—also on sale from target!!).
Same boots as yesterday. You Chictopians are wonderful.

I came across the inset photo of Agyness and it made me remember this blazer I love.
So this is what I wore to work today, and I kept wondering if anyone was thinking That woman isn’t wearing pants…. The blazer covered all of my tush, and leggings are a kind of pant, and that’s as far as I’m concerned.

So this is the second outfit I put together with the f21 short floral dress (from several posts ago).
I am wearing it backwards to get a v-neckline. I’m wearing leggings (they look a little like tights in this photo), and a short-sleeve blazer.
What do you think about this iteration?
