Today these pics appeared.
They remind me of infinite, fun-filled summer nights with my boys.
I was a hippie-princess this summer. And living that to the full.

The dress is ancient. My granny got it custom made for her when she was young and I have had the seams re-sown several times, because in summer I wear it all the time.

The boys have now moved on the call me a little indie-princess.

Apparently my style changes with the seasons.
Seasons come and seasons go…

This dress is Versace and I found it in my mum’s wardobe ages ago. It’s been hanging in mine for several years now, barely touched.

I guess I’m old enough to pull it off now.
The Occasion: The Ting TIngs gig.
It was way fun. Though not as flashy as I would’ve liked, we had a blast.

I went to this guy-I-hardly-know’s-birthday partay.I only met him once before and was rather trashed then (go figure), so was caught off guard when I walked into the room and was surrounded by nerd. Don’t get me wrong, Nerds can be fun in their own way.
I gave them a try.
I really did.

I drank more and gave them another try,

Then I had to bolt. Just couldn’t take it any longer.

Wore this out to a gig with the boys. I haven’t had a night out as ridiculously amazing as then in forever. Actually it probably was the best night of my life. So far.

The band was amazing,
The drinks were amazing,
The boys were amazing
The streets were great to fight in
roll around on
and rant, discuss and laugh on.

True love sharing happening between friends, like I’ve never seen it before.
I was beaming.

I didn’t actually wear it.
I think the blouse will be died black. Or navy. Maybe it’s less weird if it’s a darker colour.
Whoever came up with that disgusting brown/green combo anyway? That person should get fired immediately.

P.S. Tell me I’m genius.

I only went yesterday (14th), so missed the first day.
Didn’t think it would be that busy anyway, so didn’t really fuss.
Also, to be quite honest, I found the collection quite unexciting.
The only 2 interesting items (worth having in my wardobe) were this shirt – don’t you just love the sleeves- and the coat that looked like a tailcoat.
Unfortunately that was sold out. Major shame. It was really beautiful.

HOW COOL IS THE SHIRT??
I feel like I’m an offspring of Jack Sparrow. I guess the headband only contributes to me feeling that way. I’m gonna spend the rest of my weekend braiding beads into my hair. And not ever brushing it again – not that i’m doing a lot of that now…so that should be easy.

Also, dontya think it will look soo cool with shorts in summer?
