Well, I was born in Brighton in the South of England- it’s known for its pebble beaches and flamboyant community. I was raised in West Africa (I’m originally from The Gambia) lived in Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal. During the school year I live in New York and during the summer I live in Tunisia (North Africa). I love traveling, cultures and languages (I am fluent in French and Wolof) and I find my clothes to be inspired by my love of cultures.
Growing up, I always chose comfort over style, however over the years I have found a middle ground- clothes that are stylish yet completely comfortable. I used to have an aversion to heels because it felt unnatural and the first time I tried walking in my mom’s heels I fell flat on my face after attempting to walk a few feet. Since then I always thought I would always be a “flats” girl. I gave heels a second chance a year ago and absolutely loved them! Needless to say I am currently in the process of expanding my shoe collection!
