Cosmic balance. In my world at least.
I got to French class late, but enjoyed the lesson.
Had good gym session but was ravenous afterwards.
Smiled in the photos but looked plump because of fat cheeks and muscular legs!
GOT HIRED but on a trial basis and will have to change my language lesson day and may have to drop a class. If you want to know more about the interview, continue reading, otherwise scroll to the end where I will make my apologies.
Yes I wore this outfit to the interview as I was applying for a job at a boutique. I also messed the interview up by not researching the company beforehand! Partly because I was afraid I would be turned away again, Don’t do that! I did have a good impression of the boutique, having read about it in papers before but could not remember why. Oh I rambled on the way I do here but I think they did like something about me. Goodness knows what, for it’s certainly not my eloquence, intellect nor charm! Or my physical attributes. It was certainly nerve-wrecking and I wished I made a better impression! Nevertheless, I start tomorrow. Wish me luck because I just googled them and they have enough clout to organise their own fashion shows! I’m completely out of my depth but I’m never one to pass up a challenge.
I apologise for it seems that I will never catch up with everyone’s blogs now!
It will be a full time position and there is a dress code. I suspect that I will be updating much less frequently.

I apologise for being slow with replies, it’s been a tiring week and a terrible day. Stomachache, no replies from any company and getting stared at. Ah, I just wanted to experiment after a hard week and after seeing the Teen Vogue Alice shoot.
I wanted to take this photo at a children’s playground where there are a row of stone toadstools but as you can see from the light, it was raining (and still is!)
I was ready to throw in the towel but then I remembered the requests for close-ups of the shoes… SORRY about the muscular calves…
And since I was going to take photos of the shoes, I might as well take photos of the skirt which I wore over the skirt with cobweb details that I’ve worn before. And if I was going to take photos of the skirt… well.
I’m off to comfort myself with some light reading. Space battles recharge my fighting spirit.

It didn’t go well. I waited for half an hour and then we talked for an hour. But I got the feeling that he didn’t think I was right for the job. Anyway this is a boring outfit, but I like that I look tall here. And I take delight in how the buckle detail on the sleeve challenges the formality of the grey in the blazer.
I went for frozen yogurt to cheer myself up. At a place called Yigloo.
It didn’t quite work, even though it had cute decor. I was sitting under a loft bed.
Have you seen the new arrivals from Zara? I secretly took photos of the sleeveless trench and others that I liked. You can find the photos on my blog.

First, an apology. My trousers are loose on me because I bought them after lunch. That’s why they’re all creased and wrinkly. Also, satin is very, very unforgiving!
Exciting plans for tonight: reading from job agency on how to answer interview questions.
Flashback:
I got called up by a job agency yesterday for a customer service position in a local bank. It’s not exactly what I’m looking for. I understand that I have to start at this level but apparently I’m overqualified for customer service in the retail industry and have no portfolio for the creative sector. So. Banking. I passed the first round of interviews when I went down today for a discussion which turned out to be a surprise test on maths and comprehension! And it lasted an hour. There was supposed to be a phone interview in the next two days and then down for a face-to-face session that will last for 3 hours but I got a call asking me to go straight for an interview tomorrow. Wish me luck!
The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus Add as Favorite Photo

I already watched a movie this month (New York, I Love You) but I had free tickets for a theatre near my Japanese school, so I decided to watch The Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus since I wasn’t going to the gym between French and Japanese today. I was planning to catch it sometime anyway, because I had never watched a movie starring Health Ledger and I had the impression Lily Cole was going to be phenomenal. And I don’t think anyone can question the screen presence of Johnny Depp.
With this in mind, I dressed for today, ready to combat the devil and rescue Valentina and show the world about girl power. (What? It was 8 in the morning!) She managed well on her own though.
Okay I lied. I was planning to wear a grey tunic and studded blazer which I unearthed from the depths of my closet the other day but it was so bright I decided to I was going to dress as if I were going horse-riding. Not that I actually have gone horse-riding. Or anything equestrian. I still ended up looking out of place because of the black, but ah well.
Sorry about the more awkward than my usual awkward pose. I’m having race anxiety. I took some shots after class but my eyeliner already wore off. I like the light in those better though.
It’s difficult to give a review without giving the plot away, because there isn’t much of one. The acting was superb (the desperation Ledger displayed and the quirky charm of Depp, the slickness of Law) and I was quite taken with the Devil (ha!). Watch for what he says after he wins one of the wagers. Great visual spectacle and lovely accents but the storyline was a mess. Cole was cast well as a girl on the brink of womanhood. I did like the last bit (even though I predicted it was going to end with a whimper) and the flashback of the Doctor’s past which reminded me of Pratchett’s novels. The only thing that really put up a fight was Valentina’s will over her own fate and her strong fists (which was never explained).

I’ve been doing things unlike what I would normally do, so why not an outfit I would not normally wear?
