I just fell in love with these shoes from Christian Siriano’s new line for Payless. I am loving the height, the color, and especially the bullhorn heel! Oh my gosh, I need these shoes. Thank goodness my birthday is coming up! :D I really hope I get them or get enough money to buy them.

My friend and I went to the opera tonight :) It was amazing. It was a really funny story, and the singing was really great. We enjoyed ourselves. After the opera was over at around 10:45, we decided that we wanted to go to a midnight showing of Alice in Wonderland, so we called my sister so she could call the theater to see if the show was sold out yet. It turns out that our theater wasn’t having a midnight showing, probably because they don’t have 3D at our theater. We’ve been planning on going to see on friday so we’re just going to go tomorrow since we’re both skipping school. Since we couldn’t go to the movies we went out to eat a this diner that’s open 24 hours. I had pancakes and scrambled eggs. I’d say it was a good night.

My friend and I are going to the opera on thursday, and she wanted to get a puffy skirt to wear, so we went thrifting. First we went to a consignment shop, and she got a necklace, and I got a plain black pair of heels. Then we went to the salvation army and looked through all the skirts and dresses, and she found a dress to make into a skirt. I didn’t find anything I could wear to the opera, but I did find wonderfully stripper-esque gold platforms! They look very 70s, and I could not pass them up, so I’ve decided to have a 70s themed birthday party in April just so I can wear them. They were only $1.99, so it was a good buy :) I’m still not sure what I’m going to wear to the opera!

This outfit came together today by me putting on this hat. I reall had no idea what to wear today, so I put my hat on whlie still in my pajamas and then I started doing my makeup, and pretty much ran out of time so I needed to throw something on. I was feeling lazy and I knew I wanted to wear my docs today, so I paired them with my skinny jeans, and a plain black shirt and cardigan. I like how gold looks with black, so I put on my favorite gold necklaces, all from my grandma :) You can kind of see the short one in the picture, it has some pearls on it. The other two necklaces are a zipper and a working clock. I forgot to wind it up this morning. I noticed in economics that it wasn’t ticking or at the right time so I wound it up.
My school was selling tickets for $5 to see Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro when tickets are originally $40-50! My friend and I are going to go, but I don’t know what to wear. Do you have any suggestions?

I dyed my hair brown. Surprisingly I was a bit bored with my red hair. I usually love having my hair red, but I’ve been watching a lot of the original Beverly Hills 90210 and Brenda Walsh is really pale and has very dark brown hair, so I wanted to try that. It looked like a lighter color on the box, but I’m happy with the way it turned out. I finally wore this shirt out in public. I got it on clearance at Walmart for $3 in like September, but I didn’t know how to wear it. I decided to wear it with my black skirt and belt it since it’s an XL haha. I really liked the print, but the only size left was an XL so I couldn’t help myself and knew I’d find some way to wear it. The weather is getting a little nicer here. It was warm this last week, but it’s back to being in the 30s this week. I’m hoping I’ll be able to find a good outfit to wear with my new white faux fur vest. It’s actaully really warm, but I don’t want to be too cold while walking around campus. Oh well, there’s still time.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and since then I went to NYC. I went on saturday, the same day as Chictopia10 so I was pretty sad that I couldn’t be there. My friend and I went for the day. It was a pretty interesting day. I was on a mission to find a Star Wars shirt. First we went in an H&M and I found these shoes. I’ve been looking for shoes like these for a while now and I’m really happy about them. My boyfriend and my mom think they look like old lady shoes, but I like them because they remind me of jazz shoes. Then my friend and I went in Cheap Jack’s and they were not cheap, but we looked through all of the racks of t-shirts they had and didn’t find one Star Wars shirt. We wanted to go to Canal St. so we started walking there, but we did not want to walk all the way there so we decided to try the subway. My friend, Nathaly, has never taken the subway before and I’ve never had to navigate it before. We ended up asking some guy how to get to Canal St. and we got there fine. Then we followed a Chinese woman because my friend wanted to get a purse haha. Then we went over to Little Italy and got some lunch, it was delicious! Then I got a leopard print scarf for only $5. I’ve been wanting one for a while now, but I’m cheap so I don’t like paying $15 for a scarf haha so this was a good find. Now is when it gets interesting. We got on the train and it went out of the ground, and this has never happened to me before so we got worried. We decided to get off at the next stop because we had no idea where we were. At the next stop we asked a lady where we were and she told us we were in Brooklyn! Then she was nice enough to tell us exactly how to get back to Manhattan. Then we shopped some more once we were back to where we should be. We wanted to go in Forever21, but we didn’t know where it was so we went in another H&M and I found this beautiful shirt! I was so happy when I saw Luke wielding that light saber :) We ended up finding Forever21 and I got a white faux fur vest on clearance. It was a good day :)
