It is quite ridiculous how quickly my heart becomes attached to particular pieces such as these trousers. I really need to quit it. Anyways, I wore my favorite trousers with a loose striped top and my new wooden platform heels. I love them! I adore the chunkiness of the heel and as well as textured straps and all. I realize that summer is almost over (well not almost), and I should be shopping for winter shoes, but I couldn’t resist purchasing these suckers when I laid my eyes on them. Guess I fall too easily…

The weather has cooled down a bit. If I recall correctly, it was only 80 degrees today. So delicious. This morning I went to get my hair toned and bangs trimmed (note the perfectly straightened hair). Why is it that when I attempt to straighten my hair like this, it comes out like beach hair? So lame! Anyways, as I previously stated I am so sick of freakin jean shorts. It’s not that I don’t like them, because I really do. It’s just that I’ve been wearing them a ridiculous amount and I’ve become a bit tired of them. So I decided to wear my man pants with this wonderfully constructed vintage blouse I came across last year. It had some pretty intense shoulder pads that I removed because I felt it was too much for me. You know what? I think shoulder pads need to make a comeback- hmmmm….

Summer fabrication   Add as Favorite Photo

Let me just say that as much as I love the summer, this weather is getting to be a little uncomfortable. One of the reasons I really enjoy the winter time is because of all the different wardrobe choices you have. Layers, scarves, coats, dresses, and tights. Summer however, doesn’t present you with as many stylish alternatives. It’s all about tee, shorts, and loose dresses. Being that I am quite tired of the usual “scorching heat attire”, I decided to play around with different fabrics and such. I ended up wearing one of my father’s linen shirts and paired it with a studded belt and a gray blazer.

Look at my new blazer! I love love love it! It’s one of those pieces that feels as if it were made for my body. Perfect cut, perfect sleeves, perfect fit, simply perfect! I paired it with a black silk jumper and my Louboutins.
