okay, so i was digging through old photos from last month when i realized, i’ve neglected chictopia.
this photo was from thanksgiving break when i went home for a MUCH NEEDED escape from school. i was goofing around and wanted a photo with the lv display. the outfit was nothing special, it’s much of what i wear on a daily basis – cardigan, jacket, leggings and flats! haha talk about being trendy. by the way, these high waisted leggings from american apparel are SUPER tight. it took me such a long time to actually fit into it. one thing i dislike it that it seems to literally push all my stomach fat to my lower stomach. UGHHH i’m just fat. i can’t even get into detail about my weight woes right now. hmm.. so i’m way to exhausted to write any more about this since i AM in the midst of finals week.

Okay so this is more of a food post rather than an outfit one. It started off as going to a place to sit where I can eat my sushi so we decided to go by this boat dock thing. Then my friend said he had a fishing rod in his car and I’ve never fished ever in my life so if you put two and two together, I FREAKING FISHED. Well, we didn’t catch any though. I’m back at Ithaca for school and that means I have no access to Peking duck, which is something I’ve been craving since I last had it. So when I saw the ducks at the dock, I wanted to kidnap one and call it my dinner. Okay, well maybe not that brutal. But I do want my duck.
Alright, a bit about what I’m wearing. It’s actually just a heather grey dress from AA and a plain black cardigan. It’s kind of hard wearing something over this dress without looking too serious. I think one reason is because of its length on me. I’m only 5 feet so it falls right above my knee. So I wore my favorite wedges with them. Obvs I didn’t know I would be going fishing then.
After “fishing,” we went to this waterfall type thing. It was nice and peaceful until I noticed there were ants on the ledge that I was sitting on. My mind is to sedated from allergy pills to write anymore so I’ll leave it here.

ALWAYS FIND OUT WHAT YOU’RE DOING BEFORE YOU PUT ON YOUR SHOES. Okay, with that said, this is the first time I am wearing this dress. There’s a long story behind this dress but I’m too tired to type the whole thing out but I’ve wanted it for 2 months and I finally got it. It is my most expensive dress yet but I love it so much I will live in it for as long as I can.
It’s as thin as tissue paper. I left my house in a rush so when I got on the subway I was praying that my panty won’t be shown through the transparency of the material. Since this dress is longer than what I usually wear and my legs are already short enough, I wore it with my tan wedges. I was hoping it would elongate my legs and the ankle straps are suppose to make my ankles look smaller.
I walked 1/2 the Brooklyn Bridge with my friends and then back to City Hall where we walked to Soho and at last to Chinatown. They’re wedges but I was still exhausted. Okay, I am going to bed nowwww.

The day my camera died. I was so upset. I still am. I can go on ranting about how much I liked the way it looked and how I was attracted to the glossy, white exterior… but I won’t.
This is the first time I’m wearing this cheetah? leopard? print skirt without tights. I love this skirt but I can’t help feeling a bit like a hoochie when I wear it, so I paired it with a vest. I really don’t have much skirts that fit anymore FML.
The day continued with a stop at Whole Foods where I was suppose to buy some fruit to help my hunger but I somehow ended up in the chocolate section where I felt a need to buy a piece of pina colada and hazelnut/almond. But thanks to my luck, the filling to the pina colada one fell out of the shell and onto my bag. SO I NEVER GOT TO TASTE IT. The rest tasted delicious though. I am going to have to go back soon to buy it again.

Apparently I do. But I took it off after this photo.
The night started off with dinner at a place called California Pizza Kitchen. The five of us shared an appetizer, Hawaiian pizza and pasta. Doesn’t sound like a lot but I felt like I ate enough to keep me full for a few days. Well, obviously not because I’m hungry right now. So we walked from E 30th St. all the way to Chinatown where we got bubble tea. I’m so glad we walked because at least I can burn a few calories.
I have a really similar bandage dress that I wore a few posts back. Heck it’s like the same thing except this one is more tank like. You can’t see it but it has Herve Leger-esque horizontal lines. BUUUTT it’s Forever 21. I was cold in this shawl so I ended up wearing my pink cardi instead. This is the first time I’ve worn this dress but if I keep eating like this, it’ll probably be my last as well.
So I don’t really stay out late in the city as much as I would like to because I’m lazy and going back home in Brooklyn seems like such a hassle. But tonight was one of those few nights. Walking by St. Marks I really liked the vibe there because it’s bustling with people which reminded me of my trip to Asia a few years back. I miss that trip to Asia and I cannot believe it’s been 5 years since.
Okay, I need to end this before I passsss out.
