Took this at Kenneth Cole, where Joni bought new brown shoes, right before we went in to see Confessions of A Shopaholic—only because we were late for Vicky Christina Barcelona.
Posting on Chictopia only because I want to distract myself from thinking about my friend who is in the hospital and very sick.
If you want to donate blood for her, let me know. She needs O+ but other blood types can be accepted for replacement. I’m bummed that I can’t donate because my hemoglobin is low!

my dress last Wednesday for a shoot for Entrepreneur magazine—Esel and I are coming out on the March issue!
wore it with a belt for the first time, but even if it’s sort of floaty i think next time i’ll try wearing it without—i think the fabric flows nicely :O

taken after a really busy saturday—i was so ready to plop in bed!
went to dar’s house to pack 1000 planners in individual plastic bags, then to joni’s game, then to dinner at Cibo in Greenbelt.
ate at a nice dimsum place for lunch. will never forget the xiao lon pao—it is a dumpling that has soup inside!

Yesterday was my boyfriend’s uncle’s 50th birthday. His cousins and aunt planned a surprise tree-planting party at their farm in Tanay.
On the way up we saw 13 top-down sports cars. Marcos Highway is surprisingly well-paved all the way! But when we took a left off the highway we had to drive through 8kms of rough road and it was real agony for me and my car.
There were 50 plots to be filled and Joni and I got plot # 35. Joni and I planted Molave and polished off about 8 banana cupcakes between us—Joni’s cousin made them and they were so good!
It was drizzling when we went down to the house for lunch. Below the house was a little brook and I was really glad I had my rainboots on. I wanted to cross to the other side but Joni wouldn’t let me! I felt like I was Rebecca from the old Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm story I loved reading as kid.
We took a lot of pictures then we had to go because Joni had two games. While waiting for him I went thrift-shopping and got two tops for less than a dollar each—if I don’t give them away, maybe I’ll wear them and post here. :)

on sundays im all for laziness, putting on the first thing and off to market. i love going to the weekend markets here in makati. today i wanted to try the veggie noodles by the chinese couple. i also had some coconut juice because it’s just twenty pesos a pop and much better than gatorade, so my yoga teachers say. i got some calamari chips, coffee jelly and ginataan, and of course my staple gala apples and oranges :)
