Before these shoes, I'd never owned a pair of platforms. Odd? Yes, but these Ophelia style platforms instantly got my interested in something I'd never found particularly appealing. These shoes made it into my basket pretty fast and were highly anticipated until their arrival. However, when I opened the boxes I was highly disappointed. The shoes that seemed so sleek online turned out to be like a patchwork quilt, all lumpy and poorly matched with terrible quality stitching. The leather squares weren't in their nice lines- they overlapped and had a messy pattern. I supposed that wouldn't matter as much when I had them on my feet, but that never happened. I managed to get my toes a fair way down, but they cut into my toes and were so tight around them that I couldn't get my feet all the way into the bottom, which didn't change when I stood up and made my ties feel like they were burning. Eventually, I gave up. I put it down to them being too small. I haven't attempted to put them on since and am going to sell them, without an ounce of regret. Really awful shoes.
