I’m making a trip to SF soon, and would love some shop/cafe/etc recommendations. Suggestions?
Visit the Mission to see real hipsters. Haha. Jk :). No, but seriously, the Mission has a bunch of good restaurants and dive bars that are fun to go to.

Help I am doing the education stewardess! (I want to become a GROUNDStewardess). But in study year 2 we are going to Rome with the airplane and I have airplane fear…!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO I am going crazy!
airplane fear usually arises because the imagination that results from the brain works. Therefore, try to focus separately working on a thing that will make you forget the flight being missed. check tips to reduce fear when flying

Im visiting South Lake Tahoe for the weekend and have never been. What are some things I shouldn’t miss? I’ve already been to a casino and would not feel sad if I had missed that, lol. What else should I do?

I have a friend who is in dire need of a honeymoon destination. What do you think of Greece? Is it perfect for a newly wed couple to be celebrating their honeymoon there? :)
Ooh, Greece would be lovely. It’s so gorgeous!

What are the five most important things to see in london?
You should go on those hop on bus tours, they take you everywhere!
You can also book this tour where they take you to the Stone Henge, Windsor Castle and Oxford.
The Harry Potter studio tour! (If you’re a Potterhead)
London eye. I recommend going when it’s darker, it’s prettier with the lights.
Oxford for shopping.
St Paul’s Cathedral & the Tower of London.

I went to San Francisco for one day and a half…haha literally! It’s nearly an 8 hour drive from Los Angeles, and I got to visit Alcatraz and local eateries. : )
Where did you go last?
London

Has anyone travelled alone?
I really want to see the world and not miss out on anything. Been thinking about doing Contiki tours as they seem to be the safest way to travel “alone”.
What are your opinions and/or tips??
x
i just feel it’s much safer to go with other people. just one other person would be okay. you never know what’s going to happen, and it’s best to have a friend there to help

I know most people end up visiting the Big Apply at some point in their lives, but anyone want to give an insider’s scoop on the best shopping venues? Also, places to eat, visit, etc.!
I went there in April earlier this year, it was an amazing holiday! Hope you guys enjoy it as well :-)
Necessary Clothing has a lot of really cool pieces for decent prices. Also, check out the American Apparel factory outlet store on Lafayette St – the sales people are super nice and a lot of the stuff there is discounted (although certain sizes and colours might be hard to find, there are only 2 changing rooms so definitely wear something you can try stuff over if you don’t want to wait)

Say, you’ve been talking to this girl/guy on tumblr for quite a while and he/she suggested to travel together. Would you say yes?
I think you should get to know them offline before traveling! How someone acts and reacts in real life says a lot about them that you couldn’t possibly learn on the internet. And maybe you should only go for a shorter trip because as we all know even our good friends can become annoying after a week… ♡

Hey I am trying to decide where to go for my exchange term in University. There are so many options it’s hard to narrow it down. Any suggestions?
Studying abroad is exciting! I’m glad you decided to do it. I would pick a location based on how much traveling you’ve done in the past, the specialization of different universities, and weather. If you’re a regular globetrotter, you’ll probably have had some experience with culture shock. If that’s not the case, I would pick somewhere more developed, where you’ll have an easier time adjusting to the lifestyle, seeing that there will already be cultural/language/etc differences. Also consider climate, and what weather you’ll be most happy with. If rainy days get you gloomy, I wouldn’t go somewhere that rains 3/4 of the month. Finally, depending on what your studying, you may want to look into what specific programs that the exchange university has, that will help you with your endeavors.
Enjoy your time abroad!

Hi chictopians!I am planning to travel to Bangkok late this month and it will be the very first time i travel outside Africa.First time on a plane.I am having a mix of emotions.excitement, fear and all the other ones.Any way anyone have any advise for a newbie like me?I plan to do some shopping.advise on cool places to shop.from thrift shops to the expensive malls.
I’m Thai-American, haven’t been there in almost a decade though but there have been tons of improvements. I would recommend learning a bit of phrases and know what numbers look like, cause the price that’s written and what they tell you could always be different. Like Parisorn says, bargain. Flea markets always have good finds.

Hi All! We’re headed to Ireland (Dublin, Dingle, Kilkinny, and anywhere in between) in a couple of weeks and I was wondering what you all would recommend wearing.
I posted this in the advice section but maybe I’d hear more from others here. Thanks a bunch! xoxo
Where something special like lipsy dresses, maxi dresses, jeans, and knitwear with stunning accessories like bags, rings, and iphone cases.

Do you have a favorite online travel site? I am used to using travelocity.com because they offer you hidden deals. I’m planning to travel around the US at the end of this year and it would be nice if I could get some recommendations on which sites to look at.
Thanks!!
I’ve recently discovered Hipmunk. So far it’s my favorite travel site.

I’m going to go in Paris with my friends but it’s my first time and I want to know where I have to go.
Free P’ Star-they have two small stores in the Marais, and it is definitely the best vintage shopping I have ever encountered! For example, I got this awesome dress for 3 euros:

I have been to Poland two other times this past Summer and the previous before that on an internship! I usually have a little vacation time to spare, any ideas where some recommended places or what you guys think the best places would be to visit?
I have been to Krakow and Gdansk, but I would not mind going back, they are both very beautiful cities!
I’ve heard a lot of people recommending Krakow. I also heard that Wroclaw is pretty too :)
