If you like to buy designer handbags where do you perfer to purchase them. Do you go the brands main website or do you get them somewhere else? What has been your biggest splurge? Bag, shoes, clothes, etc. LMK>

I was hoping to ask if anyone knew of the site “http:www.portero.com”; and whether or not they’ve shopped from there before? I’m considering a handbag – has anyone here every purchased pre-owned? What was your experience like? Were you satisfied with the item?

I am a cosignment boutique owner and in all honesty I get brand new designer handbags. We sell them any where from a third to half the original retail cost. You will be supprised at what you find in stores like mine. They are opening everywhere. Just be careful to make sure they are 100% authentic and in great condition.

Ebay is a good alternative but you can not see the product and some ebay stores do not allow returns.

If buying slightly used items is not for you…I would definetly go to the outlet stores or check the sale racks at stores such as Saks and Nordstroms.

i’d like to go online, it is actually way better than to go searching through the bags in store. i agree, sometimes you find really great stuff via Nordstrom Rack!

Occasionally you can find an awesome designer bag at TJ Maxx, it is hit or miss most of the time and they are authentic.

before my current motorcycle bag i had a messenger that i got on sale at the gap…i don’t spend a lot of money because they need to have lots of space, and they need to be durable. my bags get so beat up, but it gives them character ;)

nothing i buy is very expensive (i’m broke) but my secret plan is to save up and buy a pair of prada heels…or maybe versace. A girl can dream, right?

I usually buy my designer handbags on eBay. You have to do your research on the seller because there are a lot of fake handbags out there, however, you can really get a GREAT deal if you look for them.
