I often hear people refer to “winter white” when talking about winter color palettes. Maybe this is a stupid question, but is “winter white” actually a different color from regular white? Or does it refer only to white clothing that is appropriate for the winter season?

And then, more generally: Do you wear white in winter? In your opinion, which garments in white are appropriate for winter— and which aren’t? Do you have any white clothes you wear in both winter and summer?

I have no idea! I honestly haven’t come across the term but it sounds rather silly.
I remember approximately 2 years ago a friend was very enthusiastically describing to me her confirmation dress. I asked what color it was & she proudly said ‘Mother Mary Blue!’. I found it rather outrageous & silly at the same time. I notice that the viel Mother Mary wears on her head is usually pale blue so I guess she was referring to that! :P
