Hey, guys. I have a plaid brown vest I’d really like to wear more. What colors or shirts/blouses can I wear with it? Any suggestions? You can see the vest here: http://www.chictopia.com/photo/show/204156-Flash+Report-white-artwork-shirt-brown-vest-black-lee-jeans-purple-bracelet-brown-sho

Thanks! :)

I think you could totally rock this vest with some nice puffy kaki pants!
You could wear the plaid vest by itself, but underneath a black top when it’s really hot. But you could also combine it with a dress to give it that rockish accent!

Hope you get sth useful out of this info! :D

the outfit you’ve got there is really cute!
I think it also might look sweet with a voluminous cream blouse or skirt, whichever you prefer. If thats green i see in the plaid, then you could play up that color. I think a mustard yellow might look very cute with it too!
You could try and mix it with some more military-inspired pieces, or layer a lot, think like a baggy tank top, with the vest, then maybe a victorian-inspired jacket?

hmmm….that vest reminds me of fall…which makes me think of what I like to call the “Harvest Pallet:”
Pumpkin (rich, earthy orange)
Eggplant (a very dark, warm purple)
Spinach (dark green like some of the plaid in your vest)
Russet (a medium, neutral brown)
Nutmeg (a soft bronze)
Chocolate (the primary color of your vest)
Mustard (a warm, rich yellow)
Burgundy (a rich, dark red that is warmer than your standard wine color.)

You could wear those colors with it, as well as creams/ivories, black and dark denims.
(You can wear these colors in lighter weight fabrics any season, so don’t think of them as only fall colors, think of them as reliable, earthy colors that will give you a head start on your adventure into color.)

see if you can find a high-waisted skirt in one of the palette colors, then wear that with the vest, your thrifted brown shirt and some flirty brown flats.

I think it’d be cute with a dress too but I’d most likely wear it how you already styled it. I think khaki colored pants would look nice with it if you want something other than jeans.

plain tops, white or black or a color that matches the stripes on the vest
