- photography, i so agree now everyones want to do it, try it, pose it oh and so is the internet world, i’ve use computers since i was like 7 yrs old and now (yeah i know it sound ridiculous ‘cus we are getting in globlalization but, stills…) everybody says that they know “too much about computers and itnernet”,oh and editing pics or using photoshop, the same with computer stuff, everybody thinks it’s the greatest designer ever just because they use PICNIC for editing pics.. CRAP! get a life and learn to use PS!
- rayban glasses, the wayfarers or the pilots ones
- leather jackets
- flannel shirts or lumberjackets, everybody thought it was WEIRD
- everything with tights, at least in my country before tights become the “IT” thing, everyone thought if you use them with skirt/dresses you looked like your grandma, now if you don’t use it you’re out I used to think it when i was really young, but i started to use it and now everybody does it. Anyways i’m still going for it, because i like them.
oh, yes i forgot something the shoes that look like if they where invented in the “can can” times HERE like those, now everybody wants a pair of them!

They might be come next Spring…I saw alot of 50s-inspired pieces in there…
You know the “hanky hem” vests/sleevless cardigans? I remember that 2 years ago you would have to search for them, and I wanted one so bad after seeing Korean style…now they’re everywhere. I still wear and like mine, but everytime I see someone wearing the same thing I got weird looks about, I snicker.
@Audrey: Haha, I remember some girls at my school used to wear the plaid flannel shirts, everybody used to think they were so weird. I admired them from afar. That was 2 years ago, too. Now what.
posted over 2 years ago@ Deveryraux: yes they were like a LUMBERMAN! or eww super old. And now they can’t live withouthemm
posted over 2 years agoI am sad that vintage got big.
The only true vintage stores i see now are salvation army and goodwill.
Others are sooo freaking pricey for vintage its not even cool anymore and makes me not enjoy the whole adventure of thrift shopping

Also plaid and high-waisted items.
And yes, photography. People think taking a picture in their BATHROOM with toilet paper in the background is “classy.”
posted over 2 years agoI agree with Hii_live!
I know it’s annoying when you loose something that made you original and unique, but at least you have the satisfacion of wearing it first! =]
I remember when I was younger, my uncle wore flannel shirts all of the time, that was basically all he wore and still does and I always thought he looked so awesome! :D

bahaha,
jk. this isn’t a music forum. /:
floral.
i’ve always loved floral things. (:
but i’m picky when it comes to the specific pattern.
~
when i was at the mall last weekend
there was floral everywhere
it really caught me by surprise
O__________o
Hey, I agree with parcheddreams. I used to enjoy Owl City all the time and people didn’t know what song I sang. Then, all my friends copied it from me and stated they’re big fans. What?!
Photography too. I have a friend who bought all kind of cameras and says he’s much better than other photographers. Wear T-shirt stated “I am a Photographer”. But all pics he’s made suck!
- Facebook —> I’m getting bored of it. People are racing to have thousand of friends. are they really friends?!
- Vintage —> even lots of cheap “vintage” bags sold in my town. Every girl has one. I stop wear mine since I can see it everywhere. D;
Headbands. I’ve always wore them since I was a kid, then all of a sudden Gossip Girl happens and everyone is wearing them. It doesn’t look like the trend is stopping anytime soon either.
posted over 2 years agoI’m a little sad that Rachel Comey has gotten pretty big. Or at least, from what I can tell, she’s definitely gotten a lot more media attention. I’ve liked her designs for years.

i loved wearing those too school, i remember everyone asked me about them the first day i wore them it was insane. now celebs started wearing them and i just look like a copy cat
Crocs, Uggs, shutter shades, geek glasses with no frames, that just kills me, vintage (when it`s clearly not)… and the list goes on.

Like the ones they sell in the clearance section of Sears with a phone and some glitter that says “Off the Hook.”
I wore those shirts as a little kid, now they just irk me to no end.
Mine is easy
Kings of leon
I liked them when they looked like this :
They were so cool with their hippy hair and their flares!
Now all i hear is “your sex is on fire”
they have so much old good stuff that nobody is aware of :(
posted over 2 years agoLadyLola- Definitely. I don’t know how those disgusting things ever got popular.
I’m still peeved about the hippie movement of the 1960’s and the punk movement of the 1970’s getting big. And once grunge was being showcased on the runways back in the 90’s, you knew that was over too.
Once something is mainstream, it loses its “unique” factor that makes it so desirable. Think about it, none of the items you’ve listed look any different, it’s just that you are no longer unique in your choice of wearing that item.
posted over 2 years agoIt doesn’t annoy me, just makes me raise an eyebrow (well, if I could)… I’ve worn prescription glasses since I was six (I had possibly the worst eyesight as a kid, and it hasn’t got any better), and got so badly bullied for it. It’s a little odd seeing the people who used to tease me for wearing these glasses actually wearing them a few years on with plastic lenses.
posted over 2 years agoI am sick that Christian Audigier got big. What that guy sells is just awful, Ed Hardy, Smet & co make me wanna puke…
posted about 1 year agoI’m okay with flannel shits but I see them EVERYWHERE now and that peeves me.
posted about 1 year agoi hate that motorcycle jackets are popular. i always think of the ramones looking badass when i think of motorcycle jackets and now they still $20 faux ones everywhere you look.
kinda bummed that nineties grunge is back in style.

buddy holly glasses on girls, or just in general. these have always been a favorite of mine and i don’t think they look very good on women. it’s a mans thing and i think it’s so quirky and handsome.
