So for outdoor pictures, how would you set your camera on a tripod to get your pictures? What I mean is, how to do you preset the focus so your pictures don’t come out blurry in the wrong places?

If you have your camera on auto focus, I’ve heard the only way to do it, is to use a stand in object and then remove it when you step in to take your picture. Or you can set it up to focus on infinity and then you can step in. But that means you and the background will be in focus.

Or maybe you can use your remote? I don’t know if pressing the button will auto focus the camera first and then take the picture. Hope that helps a little!

you can find a remote shutter for pretty cheap, but I don’t know if they have ones for point-and-shoot cameras. if you press on the remote, it autofocuses before taking the shot :). I bought one on amazon for like three bucks, but it can’t go more than 2-3 feet away from the camera so I never use it.
