Best DSLR under $1000?

the camera doesn’t matter so much as the lens. you can get most DSLR’s under $1000, but the more expensive ones don’t have a cropped sensor (which doesn’t matter that much). I’d definitely add a fixed focus lens (e.g. 50mm 1.8) to your collection.

I have the T2i and it’s fine. although the T3i is around the same price, so you might as well upgrade.
