Do you think this is too far in pet pampering?

It’s a realistic solution for dog owners who have to travel and don’t want to leave their dogs alone. Even though they are called “hotels”, dogs still would rather be at home with their owners. It’s hardly pampering :-)

No, not at all. A lot of dogs have anxiety issues, and it can be very hard for them to be aware from their owners and their familiar place. The reason the term hotel has come into favor is just to delineate between a boarding kennel and a more proactive, hands-on boarding place, which is a dog hotel, so to speak. We have used a hotel for our two little dogs many times, because they get to sleep in their own quarters, and they don’t have to be pushed into a big loud room with lots of big, high energy dogs. They can have their own quiet space, and they remain calm and comfortable. They aren’t drinking Evian and getting back rubs every 10 minutes. haha! :) They just cater to the needs of certain types of dogs much better than a typical boarding place.
