Hey everyone!
So, I have an interview in New York City/Chelsea tomorrow at this photography gallery I would LOVE to work at more than anything else in the world. The gallery is perfect for my interests- it focuses on vintage photography by people who wear famous in the art scene in the 60s.
Naturally, I want to make sure I am dressed appropriately… my question is: would four inch heels be overkill? The rest of my outfit is nice/trendyish but a little conservative.
I am planning on wearing a high-waisted dark-brown denim American Apparel skirt, with a lavender wife-beater, and a sheer black blouse with a delicate lavender floral pattern tucked in. The heels I’m considering wearing are gorgeous black lacey stilettos with an ankle strap.
I want to make an impression, and these heels make me feel kickass, but at the same time I don’t want to seem too high-maintenence. I could also wear these black oxford lace up heels that are shorter- however, they’re pretty beat up which makes me nervous.
I’m so conflicted!! What do you guys think I should do??
Thanks for any help!
posted almost 4 years agoUsually I would say go for the oxford heels (because they’re more businessy looking), however since they’re beat up, then I would say just wear the stilettos. If they make you feel confident, it’s a good thing! :) Good luck!
